A leading analytical services consultancy specialising in the pharmaceutical industry are currently looking for a Pharmaceutical Scientist to join their Pharmaceutical Laboratory.
You will contribute to this through directing and performing a range of routine and investigative analyses, whilst working to GMP standards. You will undertake a combined supervisory and practical role within defined business areas of the Pharmaceutical laboratory.You will be expected to play a key role in ensuring that delegated projects are managed effectively and that the customer's requirements and contractual agreement are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- To undertake a range of routine and investigative analyses using HPLC and wet chemistry;
- To manage client queries, produce accurate quotations and ensure client's expectations are achieved;
- To help maintain the quality systems;
- When assigned a supervisory role the aim is to ensure achievement of principle accountabilities by selection, direction, motivation and management of staff in areas under your control.
- To gain necessary competence in the use of the Laboratory's LIMS system to process analysis.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience of having worked in the pharmaceutical industry;
- HPLC experience is essential;
- Good experience of classical analytical techniques such as wet chemistry is essential;
- Method development within HPLC is desirable;
- Some dissolution experience is desirable (but training can be given in this);
- Articulate, excellent communication skills with previous experience of working and liaising with external clients.
