Profile:
My client is a leading contract testing service provider and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Forensic PT Manager to join their team.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the development and technical operation of a range of proficiency testing schemes in the area of forensic science.
Key Responsibilities:
· Providing and developing ideas for potential new forensic PT schemes by talking to opinion leaders, existing customers and potential customers about their technical requirements.
· Leading the establishment and technical operation of a range of forensic PT schemes
· To have responsibility for sign off of reports for forensic PT schemes, ensuring accuracy of results, input into statistical analysis and responding to customer enquiries
· To attend relevant key conferences, seminars, meetings etc in order to network with opinion leaders
· To provide technical expertise and training to the relevant offices within the company as required
· To speak on forensic PT at various conferences, seminars, meetings etc
Ideal Candidate:
· Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline
· In depth experience of working in a number of different areas of forensic science
· Ability to formulate and take forward ideas on own initiative
· Proven supervisory and organisational skills
· Familiarity with laboratory quality systems/accreditation
· Excellent verbal, written and networking skills
· Computer literate with familiarity and experience of working with statistical techniques
· Ability to travel as and when required within the UK and overseas
