Oxford Nanopore Technologies is positioning itself to be one of the leading technology providers for DNA sequencing. Their technology focuses on electrical, as opposed to optical, detection. They are looking to recruit a Physical Chemist with proven experience in DNA analysis and manipulation. The role will involve working on the companies proprietary sequencing technology, with a view to developing a product for market. The candidate should be ideally postdoctoral, and be a strong innovator; happy to develop and modify techniques to achieve high quality results.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
· Industrial experience handling and manipulating DNA
· Strong mathematical / statistical analysis skills
· A pragmatic, problem-solving attitude in the laboratory
· Ability as an independent innovator
