Profile:
Our client, a leading FMCG company based in Bedfordshire is looking for a Supply Chain Manager on a permanent basis. The main focus of the role will be to reduce costs, and modify the business processes that are in place at the moment.
The role will involve alot of travelling, visiting suppliers and different sites across the UK and Europe to monitor progress
The main areas of responsibility will be to
Review current business processes and either modify them or implement new ones to enhance the system
Analyse SAP reports to identify trends
Develop a strong process for delivering long-term cost reductions from all major partners
Negotiate and prepare supply contrats with key vendors
The ideal candidate will
Have experience managing projects and teams in a similar industry
Have procurement experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
Have SAP experience
Have good financial skills
