Laboratory Scientist - Molecular Diagnostics
My client is a Cambridgeshire based Diagnostics company seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join their busy testing facility. Key responsibilities will include performing molecular diagnostic testing ( nucleic acid extraction/ PCR amplification ), writing and updating SOP's aswell as contributing to QA and QMS systems. Other responsibilities will involve general laboratory housekeeping ,monitoring levels of consumables and maintaining awareness within the fields of clinical molecular biology and biochemistry. Candidates should ideally be HPC registered with a degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline. Proven experience of molecular diagnostic testing within an accredited clinical laboratory is essential along with proven practical experience of PCR, ELISA and nucleic acid extraction. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work effectively within a team.
