The 340-acre site at Sandwich in Kent is the Pfizer European headquarters for Research and Development and the Pfizer Global Manufacturing main site.  Pfizer employs approximately 3,600 staff at this site, the majority of which are dedicated to Research and Development.  Indeed, four of the world's top 10 best selling medicines were discovered at Sandwich – it has been a key centre for R&D since 1957.
